There is nothing more delightful than spending an early summer's evening in your garden, breathing in air infused with a selection of traditional garden flowers. The scent of a heady floral bouquet is uplifting and comforting and brings back fond memories of childhood. If this sounds like a dream come true, then our bespoke Old English Fragrance oil collection is for you.
A set of 5 x 10ml fragrance oils reminiscent of an old-fashioned English garden. Classic floral scents that smell beautiful on their own, as well as blended, form a sophisticated bouquet fragrance.
Old English Garden Fragrance Set includes Elizabethan rose, Honeysuckle, Carnation, Freesia and Jasmin fragrances.
What does Elizabethan rose smell like?
An English rose scent of waxy rose petals, lavish rose water, geranium and soft garden greens, just like a bouquet of freshly cut roses complete with green leaf and stem notes.
What does the Honeysuckle smell like?
Honeysuckles are small fragrant flowers that grow on hardy bushes. They will fill your home with their sweet aroma. Honeysuckle is a pungent, almost thick sort of scent, but it’s fruity and warm with hints of honey and ripe citrus. Honeysuckle's scent is heady and nectarous, a little like jasmine tinged with vanilla.
What does the Carnation smell like?
Produced mostly in France and Holland, carnation absolute oil is rare, with a heavy, spicy floral aroma tinged by sweet dark honey notes. It is a blend of clove, black pepper and exotic sweetness of Ylang Ylang, which incidentally are often used to reproduce carnation scents. Absolute is a greenish jelly-like substance. 500kg of flowers is required to produce 100g of oil. In perfumery, it is common to employ synthetic substances like eugenol, isoeugenol and eugenol acetate to accentuate the floral character and to lend clove and carnation like scent.
What does Freesia smell like?
Freesia is a sweet-smelling flower, almost reminiscent of strawberries or other summer fruit. Some people even describe it as smelling like Fruit Loops! But it is much milder than that with subtle high notes of honey and mint.
What does Jasmin smell like?
While the rose is “the queen of flowers,” jasmine is indisputably the king.
Jasmine lends a floral scent that is rich, opulent and sweet. To some, jasmine aroma alone can be too intense. However, when combined with other scents, it is just the right touch.
Jasmine is also considered very sensual. In fact, jasmine is often described as being intoxicating and even exotic.
