Juniperberry Essential Oil
Juniperus communis Juniper berries were used by the ancient Egyptians and Greeks to ward off infections and in England juniper was burnt to scare off witches or demons. Today the berries are most commonly used to flavour gin. Juniper was also traditionally used to purify the air and as an insect repellent.

Juniperus communis. Aroma: Juniper essential oil has a fresh, green and fruity scent. It is similar to pine but with a hot, peppery edge.
Fragrance note: Middle.
Properties: Juniper is cleansing, detoxifying and fortifying for the body and mind. It is both antiseptic and antibacterial. A recent study showed Juniper berry to be extremely effective against yeast like fungi (especially Candida Fungus which can cause thrush in humans).
Uses: Massage, baths, vaporization and may be added to base emollients.
Blends well with: Benzoin, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Cypress, Elemi, Fir Needle, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Orange, Lemongrass, Lime, Melissa, Lavender, Oakmoss, Rosemary and Sandalwood.
Caution: Always ensure proper dilution.
Do not use during pregnancy.
